Happy 2010

I had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with my family in PA. I missed all of the terrible snow and most of the cold (though it's still cold here today). We did something every day. One day we went to the National Constitution Center to see the Princess Diana Exhibit. We saw her amazing wedding dress as well as other memorabilia. It was so much fun. We visited Winterthur which was decorated so beautifully for the Yuletide, and spent New Years Eve at Longwood Gardens, where we had a scrumptious buffet, toured the conservatory and watched a skating show. It rained during the skating show but that didn't dim the fun. I met most of my brother-in-law's family which was fun too. We shopped and spent time looking at photo albums and talking. It was a fun holiday.

I hope that all of my friends enjoyed time with family and loved ones too this holiday season.

Candle Success!!

The ice candle is perfect! It is supposed to freeze with a hollow spot in the center and mine did. The walls around the center are about 3 inches thick. I'm quite pleased with it, so much so that I'm going to make several more (since the weather seems to be cooperating and staying well below 32 degrees) so that I can line my front sidewalk with them on Christmas Eve.

I still haven't gotten the urge to put up the Christmas tree. Today I took a nap with both kitties sprawled on me. That was fun. And of course it was snowing this morning. It's very Christmas-y around here in Minnesota. I have been shopping on line and have all of my shopping completed except for something for brother and his wife. And maybe something more for Mom.
