Mom and I had a lovely, long visit today. I stayed with her through lunch (she ate all of it!) and then we held hands and just enjoyed our time together. Mom still gets slightly agitated but for the most part she was pretty good.
I'm going to try my second attempt at making an ice candle tonight. I have a bucket of water outside and I hope it will freeze leaving space in the middle for a candle. Cross your fingers.

Well, based on your temperature thing on your blog, I'd say you have a pretty good shot at it!
Yes, a balmy 13 degrees! Isn't that lovely??!! :_)
Ice candle? Will you post pics??
13 degrees?!? BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!
I think it was in the 40's here this afternoon, we were trekking through tree lots and I was freezing!
I'm glad that you were able to spend this day with your Mom.
The ice candle turned out perfectly well. I'm going to make a few of them to use as luminarias on Christmas Eve. I just hope it doesn't get too warm by then :)
Cin, basically I take a large plastic bucket, fill it with water and put it outside overnight. It freezed with a tunnel in the center which is where I place the candle after I remove the ice from the bucket. It's great fun. I'll take picts and post.
