Mom rolled out of bed again last night, at 3:30 AM. She is definitely more with it now, but she could not get herself up and back into bed on her own so we had to call for help. I checked on her this morning and she said she was fine, no aches or pain. I will check again when I get home for bruises or soreness. We were both able to fall back to sleep and she was still sound asleep when I went in to kiss her goodbye before leaving for work.

Your mom must move around a lot at night to be falling out as much.
I hope you can come up with a solution soon. I thought of pillows or a mattress on the floor, but fear her tripping should she get up. I guess there is always the old gaurd rails so famous for use on a top bunk? That might be tricky too if she gets up to use the bathroom at night.
Hmmm.....If I think of something, I'll let you know. This is a tough one.
Thanks for the suggestions Betsy. I don't get it, she has a king sized bed yet she insists upon sleeping on the edge. How is your Mom doing?
Dad slept in the exact same place and in the same position, too. But I never had the falling out of bed problem.
I don't think the sideboards are all that good an idea if she is like my dad. Dad would have tried to climb over.
Maybe some kind of flat mat on the floor. If it was too thick I'd be afraid of falling. Maybe some kind of gymnastics mat.
Blessings.
